My name is Nyla Valencia, and I’m a member of the Women’s Wrestling team at the University of Iowa. As a passionate student-athlete with dreams of competing on the world and Olympic stage, I thrived on the adrenaline of competition and the deep bond with my teammates. But everything changed when I faced the daunting challenge of undergoing three consecutive ACL reconstruction surgeries.

Throughout my recovery, I was fortunate to have access to high-level resources — expert physical therapists, sports psychologists, and nutrition support. Yet even with that support, the process was far from easy. It was in those months of pain, progress, and personal reflection that I realized just how critical these resources were to my healing — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.

That realization sparked a new purpose. I created Rebuild You to share the most effective, evidence-based recovery tools and guidance I had access to — so that any injured athlete, regardless of where they start, can find their way back stronger. This platform brings together professional insight, personal experience, and holistic support rooted in empathy, resilience, and excellence.
